Title: “Climate Change – Understanding Both Science and Impact”
My Blog and Comment
After reading both blogs, I understood that climate change is both a scientific reality and a developmental challenge.
From Skeptical Science, I learned how greenhouse gases trap heat and cause global warming. It made me realize that the rise in global temperature is not natural—it is caused by human actions such as burning fossil fuels and deforestation.
From the ForumIAS blog, I learned that for India, climate change is also an economic threat. It affects farmers, water availability, and health. For example, frequent heatwaves in North India have reduced crop production and affected rural income.
In my opinion, both blogs are essential because one focuses on the cause (science), while the other highlights the effect (impact on people and economy). A good climate blog should combine both views—it should explain the science clearly and also show how it affects daily life.
To fight climate change, India should promote solar and wind energy, reduce pollution, and encourage eco-friendly habits. As individuals, we can help by planting trees, avoiding plastic, and using public transport.
